Slab Edge Dampness

If left unrepaired, slab border moisture can result in fretting the inner base of a building to such an extent that the internal structural stability of the building becomes compromised. The build-up of dampness brought on by the slab drawing moisture from underneath by capillary action can cause lifting of flooring tiles and other outside internal flooring such as timber and carpet floating on the ground and cause moist mold to thrive in damp, moist conditions.
